General Session Info

Each session typically lasts about an hour and can be held at the location of your choice. If you’re unsure where the best spot might be, I’m always happy to suggest several beautiful options in and around the greater Mobile area. My goal for every session is to keep things relaxed, natural, and fun—because the best images happen when your children and family are genuinely enjoying themselves. Capturing the true personality and connection of you and your loved ones is always my top priority.

Your online proofing gallery will be ready within 3–4 business days after your session and will include approximately 20–30 images. From there, you’ll be able to view and select from the full range of products I offer directly through the gallery. Once your order is placed, I will carefully edit each selected image and prepare your printed products for production.

What to wear?

One of the best ways to let your personality shine through in your portraits is through what you wear. I always recommend choosing outfits you feel comfortable and confident in—clothing that truly reflects who you and your family are. To help create a cohesive look, I do have a few simple guidelines. I suggest avoiding very bold patterns or character/graphic apparel, as these can be distracting in photos. For family and sibling sessions, aim for outfits that coordinate without being overly matchy. Layers, jewelry, accessories, and textured fabrics are wonderful ways to add visual interest and depth to your images. If you’d like more personalized guidance, I’m happy to offer individual styling suggestions for each family member to help you feel confident and pulled together for your session.

Newborn Session

Newborn sessions work a bit differently than a typical portrait session. They usually last between 2–3 hours and are completely centered around your new little one. As a mom of two boys who were once in this very same stage, I know firsthand that everything happens on baby’s schedule. Because of that, I allow plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and extra cuddles along the way!

All newborn sessions take place in my studio, where you’ll have access to my full collection of props, hats, headbands, and diaper covers. For those sweet, sleepy newborn images, sessions are best scheduled within the first 7–14 days after birth. I recommend reaching out during your second or third trimester to reserve your due date on my calendar. Once your baby arrives, we’ll set a firm session date. I also suggest feeding your baby right before the session begins to help ensure they’re full, content, and ready to snooze (a full baby is a sleepy baby!).
