Ever since my oldest baby turned 5 (he turned 6 this past October, way to stay on top of things, right?) I’ve been wanting to get a formal portrait of him. I put it off partly because I didn’t truly know what looked I wanted and partly because I just wasn’t making time for it. On the way back from a photography conference in Jan. my husband told me he though Parker’s two front teeth were loose. Well, that was all I needed to light the fire under me and by the next week I had everything planned out and set up to get it done! I have a friend that is now the director at the Ezell House in downtown Mobile so I asked her if I could hold the session in the house since I’d decided I wanted a formal, antique setting for the session. I am absolutely thrilled with how the session turned out! The house lent the perfect backdrop for these portraits and I can’t wait to print this image BIG and hang it on my wall!
Here are a few more that I liked from the session as well!
I can’t believe my big boy is already 6 years old and just about to finish kindergarten. Time flies and I’m so glad I took the time (finally!) to preserve this stage in his little life!
